Hi BOLDie,

For my recent event in Bristol, ‘Stories of a Women’s Resilience’, two of my lovely Founding Members (above, KP and Emilie) came all the way from London. We gathered almost 60 wonderful women in a room and laughed, cried, and co-regulated, nervous system to nervous system.

I actually hate IWD; it gives me the willies - and I’m always wheeled out to speak for free at any company I’ve worked at. But with everything that’s going on, I decided to use it as an excuse to bring people together. This event was a particularly special one. At the beginning, I joked about why I started these BOLD in the first place. I’d felt so disillusioned by past events where the speakers are always pristine, holding up a thick corporate mask, and the questions asked are things like ‘how do you do it all’ whilst being referred to as a ‘GirlBoss’ and ‘SHE-EO’. I always found it so deeply cringe, and not the good kind.

Now that the BOLD community is well underway, I’ve been reflecting on what it actually means to be a BOLDie. A BOLDie is someone who’s incredibly driven and ambitious but wants others to succeed just as much as themselves. They know they’re incredibly talented, but feel like they’ve had to shrink themselves while climbing the corporate ladder. A BOLDie is ready to go after the life they’ve always wanted, and take back agency over their time, their decisions and their wealth.

The events are just one part of it; our weekly calls are the thing that really anchors us together and keeps us accountable. We do workshops (in fact, our next one in London on 26th has a few spots left for non-members here - members get first/free access).

I’ve somehow managed to find the best group of humans to build my business alongside, who have genuinely made my life better.

Are you ready to become a BOLDie?

Stay BOLD
